Lisa's yoga journey began in 2005. As a busy mom of two, she initially found yoga as a way to carve out a little time for herself—a space to move, breathe, and reconnect amidst the demands of daily life. What she discovered was something much deeper. Yoga not only made her physically stronger, but helped her feel calmer, more grounded, and more resilient in every aspect of life.

Inspired by the transformation she experienced through the practice, Lisa founded Stix Yoga with a simple belief: yoga has the power to create both calm minds and strong bodies. What began as a traveling yoga studio quickly grew into a thriving community. For more than eight years, Lisa brought yoga to people wherever they were—from the original classes at Stix n Brix to park districts, restaurants, breweries, and countless other community spaces.

As the community grew, so did the vision. That vision ultimately became Aura—a permanent home where people can gather, move, heal, and belong. Today, Lisa continues to lead with the same passion that inspired her first class: creating an inclusive and welcoming space where every person can experience the strength, confidence, and connection that yoga has to offer.​​
